PEARL PACE DIED SUDDENLY AT HOME MONDAY, DEC. 13

Pearl Pace, a resident of the Blair area for the past 30 years, died suddenly at his home last Monday, December 13th. Death was attributed to a heart attack. The Blair Rescue Squad was called to take him to the Blair Hospital but help was to no avail.

Mr. and Mrs. Pace have lived on the former Prentice Smith farm just east of the Bono School on the bottomlands north of Blair.

He was born at Garrison, Nebraska April 24, 1902 and was, therefore, 69 years of age at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Claribel and by two sons, Earl and Roy N. Pace of Omaha. Earl Pace, it will be recalled, was a high school principal of the Blair schools for several years before going to the Ralston school system.

In addition to the two sons who survive, there are five grand-children.

Also surviving are two brothers, George Pace of California and Virgil Pace of Omaha. There are three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Ostrander of Polk, Nebraska; Mrs. Velma Olson of Genoa, Nebraska; and Mrs. Doreen Mohr of Columbus, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Blair on Wednesday, December 15th with the Rev. Charles Gates conducting the service. Burial, under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary was made in the Bellwood, Nebraska cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ralph Kuhr, Bill Carson, H. L. Cole, Arthur R. Keller, Jack Petersen and Richard Sheets.
