Services for Florence Pieper Palmer, 80 of Harlan, Iowa who died August 22, 1992 were Tuesday, August 25 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan. Burial was in the Harlan Cemetery.

Florence Pieper was born to John and Margartha Pieper December 22, 1911 in Yorkshire, Iowa. She married Harold C. Palmer January 27, 1934 at Persia, Iowa.

They lived in Persia, Minden, Rowan and Harlan, Iowa during their married life.

She was a seamstress until retiring.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, June 12, 1972; her parents; three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Clayton, Clearfield, Utah; Gerald, Trenton, Missouri and Douglas, Elk Horn, Iowa; one daughter, Janet Nollen of Blair; ten grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were David Palmer, Eric Hahn, Larry West, Hans Fredericksen, Gerald Elmquist and Cyrus Monson.

Burmeister Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
