ELMER J. RAASCH, 82

Graveside services are 10 a.m. Thursday, September 13 at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont for Elmer J. “Jim” Raasch, 82, of Fremont who died September 10, 1990 at Arbor Manor in Fremont. Rev. Leland Foreman is officiating.

Elmer J. Raasch was born March 29, 1908 in Nickerson. He lived in Scribner and attended school there until 1921 when he moved to Fremont and attended Fremont Senior High School.

He moved to Cedar Bluffs in 1964. He returned to Fremont in December, 1989.

He was a commercial and residential carpenter until his retirement. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 200 of Fremont and Local Union No. 444 United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.

He married Ferne Sawyer September 10, 1931, in Sabetha, Kansas. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, James of Fremont; a daughter, Marilyn (Mrs. Charles) Davies of Clifton, Colorado; a half-sister, Eva Flahart of Des Moines, Washington; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
