JEROME F. RABE, 95
Jerome F. Rabe, 95, of rural Arlington, died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at the West Point Living Center in West Point.
Visitation was Wednesday, May 17 at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 18 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Hooper. Rev . Rodney Meske officiated. Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Jerome F. Rabe was born on May 14, 1905, on the family farm in Washington county. He attended Wayne State College. Jerome farmed and was also a cattle feeder.
He was married on June 30, 1940 at Trinity Lutheran Church to LaVerne Giesselman.
Survivors include his wife, LaVerne; a daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Robert Swedburg of Denver, Colo.; two granddaughters, Susan Swedburg and Gail Obermeyer; two grandsons, Rob Swedburg and Tyler Swedburg; a great-grandson, Casey Obermeyer; a brother and sister-in-law, Willis and Muriel Rabe of Oakland; a sister, Lucille Ruwe of Mesa, Ariz.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Arrangements are being handled by Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont.
