Mrs. Arthur M. Raber died at her home in Omaha, 2619 So. 32nd Avenue, at 8 o’clock last Saturday of liver and heart trouble after an illness of but two weeks. The funeral was held at St. Peter’s church at 9 o’clock, Father McMurphy officiating, and the body was brought here by auto hearse and cortege for interment in the Catholic cemetery. Father O’Driscoll officiated at the grave. Elizabeth Foley, better known as Lilly, was born on the old farm south of town January 3rd, 1885, and was married to Arthur M. Raber, June 20th, 1909. They lived in Cheyenne for nearly three years and since then in Omaha. Besides the husband she leaves a daughter eighteen months old. Also her mother, Mrs. Ellen Foley, four sisters and four brothers as follows: Mrs. Maggie McMahon of Lincoln; Jerry, who lives on a farm south of town; Mrs. Daniel Daly of Omaha; Mrs. John Nolan of Scribner; John of Omaha; Mrs. Roy Landis of Ft. Calhoun; and Mike and Robert who live at home with their mother. The pallbearers were the four brothers and two nephews, Byron McMahon of Lincoln and Gerald Daley of Omaha.

Mrs. Arthur M. Raber, Former Blair Girl, Dead

Mrs. Arthur M. Raber, 2619 So. 32nd Ave., Omaha, well known in Blair and Washington County as Lillie Foley, died at 8 a.m. Saturday July 14, 1917, at St. Catherine’s Hospital in Omaha of a complication of heart and liver trouble, after an illness of two weeks.

Lillie Foley, a daughter of Mrs. Ellen Foley and the late John Foley, was born on the Foley farm south of Blair on Jan. 3, 1885, and grew to womanhood in Washington County. She was married in June 1909 to Arthur M. Raber at Cheyenne, Wyo., where she lived for three years, moving to Omaha five years ago.

She leaves to mourn her demise her husband and an 18-months old daughter, her mother, Mrs. Ellen Foley, and four brothers and five sisters, Mrs. Maggie McMahon, of Lincoln, Jerry Foley, of Blair, Mrs. Mayme Daly, of Omaha, Mrs. Dora Nolan, of Scribner, John Foley of Omaha, Mike Foley, of Blair, Mrs. Nellie Landis, of Ft. Calhoun and Robert Foley, of Blair.

The funeral was held at 9 a.m. Monday from the residence to St. Peter’s Church in Omaha, and were conducted by Father McCarthy. Interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery at Blair and services at the grave were conducted at the grave were conducted by Father O’Driscoll. The pall bearers were the four brothers of the deceased and two nephews, Byron McMahon and Gerald Daly. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. Those from a distance who were in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Pat Foley and daughter, Ella, of Columbus, Chas. McDermott, Jr., and son, John, of Colon, Nebr., Mrs. John Foy and daughter, of North Bend, and Miss Ella Sweeny, of Lindsay, Neb.

MRS. RABER GONE

Mrs. Arthur Raber, nee Lillie Foley, died at her home at South 32 Ave., Omaha on last Saturday morning at 8 o’clock as a result of a complication of heart and liver trouble.

Deceased was born in this county on the old Foley farm just south of Blair, where she made her home until her marriage which occurred eight years ago.

Mrs. Raber was a woman of very pleasing personality and her purity of mind shone brightly in her everyday life bringing to her many warm friends and endearing her to her family who mourn her early death.

At her death she was thirty-two years of age and leaves a grief-stricken husband and a little girl only eighteen months of age to mourn the loss of wife and mother which can never be replaced.

She comes of a very estimable family who have been known for their upright living and who have the sympathy of the whole community.

The funeral was from the home in Omaha to St. Peters church at 9 o’clock Monday morning, Father McCarthy having charge of the services and the body was brought to Blair followed by a large procession of relatives and friends and was interred in the Blair cemetery, Father O’Driscoll officiating at the grave.

She leaves to mourn her besides the husband and child, the mother, Mrs. Ellen Foley, of Blair; and the brothers and sisters as follow: Mrs. Maggie McMahon, Lincoln, Nebr.; Jerry Foley, of Blair; Mrs. Mayme Daly, of Omaha; Mrs. Dora Nolan, of Scribner; John Foley, of Omaha; Michael Foley, of Blair; Mrs. Nellie Landis, of Ft. Calhoun and Robert Foley of Blair.

The pall bearers were the four brothers with two nephews, Byron McMahon, of Lincoln and Gerald Daly of Omaha.

The out of town guests present at the services were Mrs. Patrick Foley and daughter, Ella, of Columbus, Mr. Chas McDermott, Sr., and son, John, of Colon, Nebr., Mrs. John Foy of North Bend and Miss Ella Sweeny of Lindsey, Nebr.

The beautiful floral offerings were profuse and were mute tokens of the high esteem in which the deceased was held by those who knew her.

A large circle of friends extend their sympathies to the bereaved relatives.
