FRANCES M. RAHLFS, 82

Frances M. Rahlfs, 82, of Blair, died Monday, July 19, 2004, at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 23, at First Baptist Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Frances May Rahlfs was born Dec. 12, 1921, in Blair to Lewis and Laura (Carmichael) Robinson. She graduated from Blair High School in 1939. On June 20, 1943, she married William H. Rahlfs in Papillion.

Mrs. Rahlfs was an active member of the Blair Eagles, VFW Auxiliary, the Senior Center, American War Mothers, Christian Women’s Club, Memorial Community Hospital Auxiliary, and the Royal Neighbors. She was a member of the Blair Baptist Church and served as secretary for many years. She taught rural school in Washington County prior to working at the Mead Ordnance Plant and she later retired from the Campbell Soup Company.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Henry L. Sr. and Laura Rahlfs of North Bend, and Francis Rahlfs of Blair; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Les and Mary Robinson of North Bend; Earl and Sue Robinson of Omaha; Dale and Mary Robinson of Blair; sisters, Annie Lowther and Helen Paulson, both of Fremont; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; son, William H. Rahlfs Jr.; grandson, Donald Rahlfs; brothers, Willie, Walter and Rollan.

Memorials are suggested to the Blair Rescue Squad or the Senior Center.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
