Thomas Flynn Dies Following Illness

Lived Near Blair For Over 40 Years

Thomas Joseph Flynn passed away at his home east of the Blair bridge last Thursday following an illness of about seven years duration. He was born December 2, 1876 at Philadelphia and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Flynn. At the age of 14 he came with his parents to Harrison County, Iowa, where he made his home until his death. On December 20, 1900 he was married to Bertha Harding and to this union six children were born, five of whom survive him. A daughter, Mrs. Mary Williamson, passed away in 1928.

Funeral services were conducted from the home last Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock with Rev. A. J. Hargett, pastor of the Blair Christian church, officiating, after which burial was made in the Oak Grove cemetery.

Surviving him are his bereaved wife, two sons, Harry and Thomas of Mo. Valley; and three daughters, Edna and Mrs. Anna Allmon of Mo. Valley and Mrs. Susan Richter of Grand Island. Two brothers, Frank of West Liberty, Iowa, and John of Los Angeles; and two sisters, Mrs. Mayme Kinney of Mo. Valley and Mrs. Anna Wonder of Omaha, also survive.
