JOSEPH C. RAMSPOTT, 27

Joseph Ramspott, 27, of Hammond, La., died Saturday, March 27, 2004, when he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle near his home. His death was the result of a hit-and-run accident.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. There is no visitation.

Joseph Charles Ramspott was born Oct. 2, 1976, in Blair to Edward Lee and Pamela Rose (Kaup) Ramspott. He was baptized Oct. 24, 1976, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Blair.

He was a 1995 graduate of Blair High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree in fisheries and completion of his master of science degree in biology, which will be awarded posthumously by Southeastern Louisiana University.

He is survived by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Matthew and Rebecca Ramspott of Lawrence, Kan.; grandmother, Viola Ramspott of Pender; and a great many friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Matilda Kaup; paternal grandfather, Arthur Ramspott; uncle, Gene Kaup; and aunt, Beverly Ramspott.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be sent to PO Box 78, Blair, NE 68008.
