WUBBENA “BEA” RAND, 95
Wubbena “Bea” Rand, 95, of Blair, formerly of Missouri Valley, Iowa, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 1998, at her brother Jake Rand’s home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2 at the Presbyterian Church in Missouri Valley. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Missouri Valley.
A prayer service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, in charge of arrangements.
Wubbena Catherine Rand was born March 7, 1903, in Sac County, Iowa to John and Steinetta (Spier) Rand . She attended school in Sac and Harrison counties in Iowa.
She lived on the family farm and helped manage the farm operation in rural Harrison County until moving to Blair to be with her brother in 1995.
She is survived by her brother, Jacob Rand of Blair; two nephews, Robert and Roger Rand; one niece, Mary Wohlers and many great-nephews and great-nieces; and by a special care giver, Mac Connealy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Katy, Shamka and Jennie; and by two brothers, John and Eilert.
Memorials may be directed to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair or the Rand Community Senior Center in Missouri Valley.
