Services for Leo A. Rankin, 75, were held Oct. 5 at Merle Hay Funeral Home in Des Moines, Iowa.
Mr. Rankin was born in Knoxville, Iowa and lived in Des Moines most of his life.
He had worked for Ruan Transport for 28 years before retirement and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Rankin is survived by his wife, Margaret Whichman Rankin, formerly of Fort Calhoun, Nebraska; two sons, Carl of Des Moines and Arlan of Lacona; two daughters, Carma Fechrer of Indianola and Joy Miller of Milo; three stepdaughters, Lee LeCompte and Emily Timm of Blair and Rebecca Schmitt of Fort Calhoun; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
