MRS. GERTRUDE RASCHIG DIED AT THE AGE OF 77 Services for Mrs. Gertrude Raschig, of Route 1, Nickerson, were held Saturday in the Reckmeyer Funeral Home at Arlington. Pastor Robert Backhus officiated with burial in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Raschig died at the Memorial Community Hospital in Fremont on Thursday, August 19th. She was born on July 26, 1899 at Lunnberg, Germany. She came to the U.S. in 1921 and lived in Indiana before coming to Nebraska in 1923. She has lived in the rural Nickerson area since 1950. Her husband, Herman Raschig, passed away in 1972.

She is survived by one son, Clarence of Nickerson.
