SERVICES FOR FRED RASMUSSSEN ARE TUESDAY
Funeral services for 86 year old Fred L. Rasmussen will be on Tuesday, April 15th. Mr. Rasmussen is the father of Carl Rasmussen of Blair.
Fred Rasmussen passed away at the Fremont Hospital at the age of 86. He had been ill for several months. The services will be at 11 a.m. at the Bader-Rozanek-Lawson Funeral Home at 904 North Bell Street in Fremont. Dr. Alan R.W. Campbell will officiate with the burial in the Ridge Cemetery in Fremont.
Fred L. Rasmussen was born October 7th, 1893 in Fremont, Nebraska where he has lived his entire life. He was a member of the First Congregational Church, Veteran of World War I U.S. Army, member of Fremont bowlers Hall of Fame.
He was married on May 10, 1921 in Winner, South Dakota to the former Imo Christensen. Besides his wife he is survived by a son Carl and daughter-in-law Jean Rasmussen of Blair; four grandsons and one granddaughter.
There are two surviving brothers: Andrew Rasmussen of Brodenton Beach, Florida; and Manley Rasmussen of Fremont. He has one sister, Mrs. Lora Norton of Fremont.
A memorial has been established for the First Congregational Church of Fremont.
Pallbearers will be Michael, Jeffery, Chris and Jon Rasmussen, Carlos Christensen and Lowell Christensen.
