HAROLD W. RASMUSSEN, 88
Funeral services for Harold W. Rasmussen of Blair, will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 30, 1990 at the First United Methodist Church, with burial in the Blair Cemetery.
Harold passed away at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital on Saturday. He was 88 years of age at the time of his death.
Harold W. Rasmussen was born on November 23, 1901 in Washington County, Nebraska to Chris and Zetta “Neff” Rasmussen. He attended the Neff Elementary School. On February 23, 1927, he was united in marriage to Hazel Renshaw in Council Bluffs, Iowa. After their marriage, they farmed in the Rosehill area until moving to their present farm east of Orum, in 1943. He farmed in this area until retiring in 1954. Harold served on the Rosehill School Board for numerous years.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Ardith Rasmussen, Bill and Gwen Rasmussen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Opal (Mrs. Jack) Jensen, Helen (Mrs. Pat) Mallette, all of Blair. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Merton (Pearl) Cornelius of Omaha.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; wife Hazel; one grandson, Tim Jensen; one brother, Howard and one sister, Sarah Newkirk.
