HILDA M. RASMUSSEN, 90

Hilda M. Rasmussen, 90, of Blair, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at the Blair Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Hilda Margaret Gehrk was born May 8, 1919, in Kennard to Charles and Hilda (Fischer) Gehrk.

She was united in marriage to August Schumacher in January of 1942.

Mrs. Rasmussen was a lifelong resident of the Blair area. She did housecleaning and babysitting.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church where she was active in the Women of ELCA. She was also a member of the Herman Jolly Worker’s Club.

Margaret married Laurets Rasmussen in 1965. He preceded her in death in 1983.

She is survived by two children, Dennis Schumacher of Fremont, and Wendy and Robert Reznicek of Dodge; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; a brother, Henry; sister-in-law, Roma Gehrk; and nephew Ronald Gehrk.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or the First Lutheran Church Youth Group.
