SERVICES WERE HELD FOR JAMES RASMUSSEN

Services were held Wednesday, October 19, at 2:00 p.m. at Campbell Mortuary, Blair, for James Arthur Rasmussen, who was killed Sunday, October 16, 12977, about 5:45 p.m. when his eastbound car struck a northbound Burlington-Northern Railroad train at a crossing on a county road 2.1 miles north of Leshara.

Pastor Robert Albers officiated at the services. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

James Arthur Rasmussen, who was 25 at the time of his death, was born in Oakland, Nebraska on April 19, 1952, to George and Marilyn (Davis) Rasmussen. He was a graduate of the Tekamah-Herman Grade and High Schools. He was employed by Drake Williams Steel Mill in Omaha as a welder. He had worked there since August of 1975.

He is survived by his widow, Jeanine, and a daughter, Stacie, both of Yutan, Nebraska; his mother, Mrs. Clifford (Marilyn) Raymond, Blair; and a sister, Mrs. Nancy Schutt, Blair.

Pallbearers for the services were Richard Hampton, John Devasure, Bernard Wilkins, Eugene Geortz, Carter Riniker, and Dale Wilkins.

Campbell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements for the services.
