JORGEN RASMUSSEN DEAD

Jorgen Rasmussen, one of the old time settlers of Blair, died at his home on South street on last Thursday afternoon, June 22.

Mr. Rasmussen was born in Denmark and was in the neighborhood of sixty years of age. He was a man of exemplary habits, industrious and a consistent Christian.

He has been a resident of the city for upwards of thirty years and has always been held in the highest respect by those who knew him.

He leaves a wife and a grown daughter, Miss Clara; three sisters, Mrs. Jens Lund and Mrs. H.P. Christensen of Blair; and Mrs. Wisdom of Leavenworth, Kansas; and two brothers in Minnesota and one in Michigan to mourn him.

The funeral was held on Sunday at the Danish Lutheran Church of which organization he had long been a member, with Rev. Kjoller and Rev. Andersen officiating and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

Jorgen Rasmussen died at his home on South street last Thursday afternoon of Bright’s disease, having been in ill health for the past two years. The funeral was held at the Danish church at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. Rev. H.L. Kjoeller spoke in Danish and Rev. A.M. Anderson in English. Besides his widow he leaves only one daughter, Clara; two sisters in this city, Mrs. H.P. Christensen and Mrs. Jas. Lund; another sister and two brothers in Minnesota.

JERGEN RASMUSSEN

Jergen Rasmussen, resident of Blair for many years, and highly respected, died at his home on west South street yesterday at 3 p.m. He had been in poor health for a number of years. He was a member of the order of Macabees and had a $1,000 insurance in that order. He leaves a wife and daughter, a young lady in her ‘teens.

The funeral will be held Sunday p.m. from the Danish church.
