Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 1987, at First Lutheran Church in Blair for Mabel (Mrs. Robert) Rasmussen, 81.

She died Sunday, November 1, 1987, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Mrs. Rasmussen was born February 28, 1906, in Mound City, Missouri, to Mr. and Mrs. A.T. Van De Venter. She graduated from Fort Calhoun High School, and taught at Vacoma School in Washington County until her marriage to Robert Rasmussen May 5, 1928.

She is survived by three children, Phyllis (Mrs. Ed) McMullen of Blair; Robert Rasmussen of Herman and Marilynn (Mrs. Tom) English of Montrose, Colorado; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are six brothers and sisters: Lona Higgins of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Thelma Cushman of Cloverdale, California; Orville Van De Venter of Oceanside, California; Guy Van De Venter of Denver, Colorado; Clarence Van De Venter of Denver; and Frances Leoneiski of Lansing, Michigan.

Also preceding her in death were two grandsons, Rob McMullen and Danny Phillips, and one great-grandson, Tim Linsacum.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Michael McMullen, Randy Rasmussen, Rick Rasmussen, Greg Hartung, Kyle Phillips, and great-grandson, Kevin Rider.

Music will be provided by soloist Homer Nielsen and Clare Cowing, organist.

Campbell Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
