M. JUNE RASMUSSEN, 81

Margery June Rasmussen, 81, died peacefully on Aug. 26, 2007 at her home in Allegan, Mich.

Memorial services were Sept. 1 at the Trowbridge United Methodist Church. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Margery June McNair was born Nov. 11, 1925, at Nashville, Neb., to Fred and Willa Mae McNair. She grew up in Fort Calhoun and graduated as valedictorian of Fort Calhoun High School.

She and her husband Ross “Bud” Rasmussen moved to Michigan in 1948 where they lived on a farm in Trowbridge Township for 45 years.

Mrs. Rasmussen retired from the brass division of Parker Hannefin in Otsego after 22 years. Her favorite hobbies were snowmobiling and camping. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ross; two sons, Larry and his partner, Sue Gomber, of Allegan; and Richard of Comstock, Mich.; four granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Marion Tucker of Fort Calhoun; and a brother, Robert McNair of El Centro, Calif.

She was recently preceded in death by her mother, Willa Mae, who passed away in January at the age of 103.
