SERVICES SET FOR RAYMOND RASMUSSEN

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 12, at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Orum for Raymond J. Rasmussen, 75, of Blair, who died November 9, 1982, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

The Rev. Russell Saltzman will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Orum Cemetery.

Raymond J. Rasmussen was born in Orum, Nebraska on May 24, 1907, to Rasmus X. and Laura Larsen Rasmusssen. He attended school in Orum.

On September 14, 1935, he married Margaret Mayo in Rochester, Minnesota. He farmed until 1963 when he moved to Blair and worked for the City of Blair as Park Superintendent.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Blair; one son, William Rasmussen, Blair; and three daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Phyllis) Bunten and Mrs. Judy Thompson, both of Blair; and Mrs. Merle (Betty) Christiansen of Logan, Iowa. Nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive him.

Pallbearers will be Randy Thompson, Ivan Larsen, Greg Christiansen, Floyd Hinz, Harold E. Rasmussen and Leonard Nelson.

Opal Jensen will be organist. Jack Jensen will provide the vocal music.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.

Raymond Rasmussen

Blair-Raymond J. Rasmussen, 75, of Blair, died Tuesday in Memorial Hospital in Blair.

Mr. Rasmussen, a retired parks superintendent for the City of Blair, was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Orum.

He married Margaret Mayo on Sept. 14, 1935 in Rochester, Minn. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, William of Blair; three daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Phyllis) Bunton and Mrs. Judy Thompson, both of Blair, and Mrs. Merle (Betty) Christiansen of Logan, Iowa; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11am Friday in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Orum. Burial will be in Orum Cemetery.

Visitation will be until 9am Friday in the Campbell Funeral Home in Blair.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
