R. HAROLD RASMUSSEN, 72

Services for R. Harold Rasmussen, 72 of Blair who died September 28, 1995 at Good Shepherd Home in Blair after a lengthy illness were Monday, October 2 at Country Bible Church north of Blair. Pastor Charles Larsen officiated. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Robert Harold Rasmussen was born June 3, 1923 near Blair to Robert Henry and Esther Bernice Sorensen Rasmussen. He attended Gardner School and graduated from Blair High School in 1940.

He spent his entire life farming and doing over-the-road trucking. He was a member of Country Bible Church where he served as a deacon.

He married Mary Evelyn “Sal” Frye at First Lutheran Church in Blair December 17, 1941.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of Blair; sons and daughter-in –law, Ross and Sharon Rasmussen of Blair; and Robert “Bob” Rasmussen of Stonewall, Oklahoma; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Fred Bacon of Tekamah; Diane and Jim Hansen of Fremont; and Nancy and Bill Tierney of Blair; 19 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Ann Rasmussen of Poteet, Texas; a sister, Elaine Hinton of Glendale, Arizona; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Pallbearers were Jay Bacon, Joseph Bacon, Kevin Rasmussen, Rob Rasmussen, Wade Rasmussen, Zach Rasmussen, Brent Tierney and Greg Uhing.

Eldora Weibe was organist. Vocalists were Henry Weibe and Janene Suddarth.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

BLAIR - - Services were held for R. Harold Rasmussen, 72 of Blair who died Thursday, September 28, 1995 at Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

Robert Harold Rasmussen was born June 3, 1923 near Blair to Robert Henry and Esther Bernice Sorensen Rasmussen. He attended Gardner School and graduated from Blair High School in 1940. He was a farmer and a truck driver.

He was a member of Country Bible Church where he served as a deacon.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of Blair; sons and daughter-in –law, Ross and Sharon Rasmussen of Blair; and Robert “Bob” Rasmusen of Stonewall, Oklahoma; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Fred Bacon of Tekamah; Diane and Jim Hansen of Fremont; and Nancy and Bill Tierney of Blair; 19 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Ann Rasmussen of Poteet, Texas; a sister, Elaine Hinton of Glendale, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Country Bible Church, north of Blair. The Rev. Charles Larsen will officiate. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair and one hour before the service at the church. A prayer service will be 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Blair Cemetery.
