Barbara J. Totten, 79

Barbara J. Totten, 79, of Fort Calhoun, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 2, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Moser Memorial Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Barbara J. Hineline was born May 23, 1934, in Omaha to Ralph and Francis (Kiefer) Hineline.

She grew up in Blair where she graduated from high school and then moved to Denver, Colo. She returned to Blair, then lived in Fremont and finally, Fort Calhoun.

She was a homemaker. She also enjoyed camping, card clubs, dancing and bowling.

On Oct. 8, 1994, she married Richard Totten at First United Methodist Church in Kennard.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, Kevin McDonald and his fiancée, Hannah, and Rusty McDonald and his fiancée, Lisa, all of Golden, Colo.; stepsons and their wives, Gary and Wanda Totten of Nickerson, Dennis and Brenda Totten of Lyons and Mike Totten of Fremont; stepdaughter and her husband, Connie and Bob Stiver of Fremont; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Dianne Hineline of Wheat Ridge, Colo., and Ronald and Lori Hineline of Fort Calhoun; sister, Bonnie Zeleny of Bennington; nine step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bradly McDonald.

Memorials may be directed to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair or the Blair Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
