Services were Monday, December 7 at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington for Lorena E. Palmer, 75 of Arlington who died December 3, 1992 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont. Rev. Lee Milligan officiated. Burial was in the Westlawn Cemetery in Omaha.

Lorena E. Palmer was born February 18, 1917 at Kinmody, Illinois. She grew up in Chicago. She moved to California in 1957 and lived there until 1975 when she moved to Omaha. She moved to Arlington in 1990.

She was a member of the Arlington Over 60 Center and a homemaker.

She married Gerald Gard in 1933 in Chicago. He preceded her in death.

She later married Gale E. Palmer, Sr. December 1, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death in 1990.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Cora Gambil Wells; a son, Garold Gard and a grandson.

She is survived by three sons, Charles Gard of Arlington, John Gard of Valley and Gale Palmer, Jr. of Fremont; one daughter, Loretta (Mrs. Michael) Hayes of Arlington; 24 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were David Hays, Robert Hays, Michael Hays, Jr., Larry Hays, Dennis Hagerty, Daniel Hagerty and David Gould.

Memorials may be made to the Arlington Volunteer Fire Department.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington was in charge of arrangements.
