Vera M. Palmer, age 73, of Tekamah, passed away on Thursday evening, July 14th, 1988 at the Logan Valley Manor in Lyons, Nebraska after a lengthy illness. Vera was born on December 12th, 1914 to Walter and Hattie (Marr) Sisson. She was united in marriage to Boyd Palmer on January 27th, 1930 at Holstein, Iowa. The couple has farmed in Burt County since that time.

Vera was a member of Magnolia Rebekah Lodge No. 94 of Tekamah, the Victory Club of Tekamah, and was a long time member of the United Methodist Church in Tekamah, where she was active in church circles.

Survivors include her husband, Boyd Palmer of Tekamah; one son, Ronald Palmer of Wasilla, Alaska and one daughter, Connie Faltys of Orange, California; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Vera was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, and one son, Gordon Palmer on June 10th, 1975.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 18th, 1988 at the United Methodist Church in Tekamah with Rev. Marion H. Knoell officiating. Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah.
