Alma B. Panning, 87, of Fremont, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, at the Fremont Area Medical Center.

Services were Wednesday, Nov. 4 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont with Pastor Phillip Vance officiating. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery.

Alma Bohling was born Jan. 4, 1911, to Henrich and Caroline (Siebuhr) Bohling on the family farm in Dodge County where she was raised.

On Dec. 27, 1938, she married Paul F. Panning at Hooper.

She and her husband farmed south of Hooper until moving to an acreage in Fremont. She had a regular route in Fremont to deliver eggs, cream and turkeys from their acreage. She lived there until retiring to another home in Fremont.

In April of 1992 she moved to Merrick Manor.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She was survived by one brother, Otto Bohling of Fremont and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Paul, on Dec. 10, 1985; five brothers and five sisters.
