SERVICES FOR CYRUS ANDERSON THIS AFTERNOON

Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Thursday) for Cyrus M. Anderson, long-time Blair resident, who died Monday of this week. He had operated a neighborhood grocery store in north Blair for the past twenty years.

Cyrus Melvin Anderson was born in Harrison County, Iowa March 18, 1893. He was 76 years old at the time of his death. He moved to Blair with his parents at an early age and has made his home here continuously since that time.

He has been the operator of several businesses in Blair, but has been operating the Cy and Nancy's Market on east Nebraska street for the past 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy and by two daughters and three grandchildren. The daughters are Mrs. Ethel Simpson, of Blair and Mrs. Jayne Worley, of Brighton, Colo. A sister, Mrs. Maza Leaming, lives in Omaha.

The deceased was a World War I veteran and he always held an active interest in the community's patriotic organizations and functions. He was a member of the Jackson-Peck Post 274 of the American Legion at Herman and this body will carry out patriotic graveside ceremonies at the funeral.

Funeral services will be held at the Bendorf Funeral Home at 2 o'clock P.M. today (Thursday). The Rev. Richard P. Davison will conduct the service and burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery.
