Services Held Monday For Father Of Blair Woman

Services were held Monday, December 19, at 2 p.m. at the Episcopal Church in Central City, Nebraska, for Harold Parker. Father William Moorhead officiated at the service. Interment was in the cemetery at Central City.

Harold Parker was born August 21, 1904, in Central City, Nebraska. He was raised in the Central City area where his great-grandfather had homesteaded. He married Lois DeLancey in Central City on February 6, 1929. He was a retired County Judge of Merrick County and was Co-Administrator of Merrick Manor at the time of his death. He was active in Masonic work and in the Episcopal Church.

Mr. Parker had been to a Christmas Party at Merrick Manor on December 15 and was rushed to the Grand Island Hospital when he slumped over in his chair after giving an address at the party. He died close to midnight December 15, 1977.

He is survived by one daughter, Diana (Mrs. Robert) Bee, Blair; and one son, Truman Parker, Derby, Kansas. One sister, Edgarda McCarty, Independence, Missouri; four granddaughters; and one grandson also survive him.
