#1 Evelyn Marie Parrish, 80

Evelyn Marie Parrish, 80, of Bennington, died Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at the Fremont Care Center in Fremont.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington. The Rev. John Pierson will officiate.

Burial will be a private internment.

Evelyn Marie Parrish was born Nov. 14, 1918, in Washington County.

She worked as a beautician.

She is survived by a son Danny Parrish of Fremont; a sister, Dorothy Jaspersen of West Point; grandson and his wife, Dan and Chris Parrish, Jr., of Omaha; two granddaughters and their husbands, Denise and Marc Kimnach of Omaha and Dianna and Rob Loptin of Bennington; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Parrish of Fremont; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Church & Alzheimer’s Association.

Had-Golden-Reichmuth Mortuary of Bennington is in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn Marie (Voss) Parrish was born on November 14, 1918 in Washington County, Nebraska to William and Bertha (Koepke) Voss.

Evelyn attended Sunnyside School and a beauty school in Omaha.

Evelyn married Wayland D. Parrish on November 23, 1940 at Billings, Montana. Wayland died on September 5, 1948.

Evelyn ran her own beauty shop in her home for many years.

Evelyn was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Bennington until her death. Se was also a member of the Over 60 Center where she enjoyed playing cards.

Evelyn died on October 8, 1999 at Fremont, Nebraska.

Her parents, husband, four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Surviving are her son, Dan and his wife, Bonnie, of Fremont; grandchildren: Diane and her husband, Rob Loptin, of Bennington; Denise and her husband, Marc Kimnach, of Omaha, Danny and his wife, Chris Parrish, of Omaha; step-grandchildren, Michelle McManigal and her husband, Billie, of Fremont and Mark and Mike Hansen of Fremont; seven great-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Jespersen, of West Point, Nebraska; sisters-in-law Bonnie (Voss) Goodrich of Oakland; Kay Voss of Arlington; Louise Voss of Blair; and Alverta Voss of Fremont, and other relatives and friends.
