Dorothy Taylor, 77

Dorothy Taylor, 77, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at her home in Blair.

Private services will be Monday, Aug. 12, with interment following services at the Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Dorothy Feige was born Oct. 10, 1935, in Magnolia, Iowa, to Leslie and Leavada (Sample) Feige.

She was raised on a farm in the Magnolia area. She attended and graduated from Magnolia High School, then worked at the Harrison County Courthouse.

On June 8, 1963, she married Stanley C. Taylor at First Baptist Church in Blair.

The family made their home in Orum. In 1973, they moved to Blair.

Mrs. Taylor operated a daycare in her Blair home for several years and also helped her husband with the upholstery business.

She liked to cook and bake, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane Volden and special friend, Dave Skutnik, of Grand Island, and Denise Lenhart and husband, Ron, of Omaha; sons and daughter-in-law, Bennett and Suzi Taylor of Fontanelle and Brian Taylor of Blair; grandchildren, Andy Lenhart, Chase Chapman, Benjamin Volden and wife, Tiffany, Ally Lenhart, Sam Lenhart, Lexi Taylor and Jennifer Volden; brother and sister-in-law, Alve and Ilene Feige of Logan, Iowa; several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; and sister, Ione.

Memorials may be directed to the Congregational Church in Blair or Rose Hill Cemetery.
