James Marshall, Arlington Businessman Dies

Funeral services will be Friday, January 11, at 2 p.m. for James O. Marshall, age 74, who died Tuesday, January 8, 1980, at Memorial Hospital in Fremont. Services will be held at the Arlington Community Church with burial in the Arlington Cemetery. Rev. Gerald Senn will officiate. Visitation will begin Thursday at Reckmeyer Funeral Chapel.

James O. Marshall was born August 25, 1905, in Arlington. He married Charlotte Heuerman on September 5, 1928, in Marysville, Kansas.

He lived a lifetime in the Arlington Community. He farmed and owned Marshall Real Estate Co. and Marshall Electric and Dairy Supply Co. at one time.

He was a member of the Arlington Community Church, Arlington Community Club, Hiram Lodge No. 52 A.F. & A.M., the Nebraska and National Association of Realtors. He was also a member and past president of the Washington County Board of Realtors.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte, Arlington; one son, W. Jay (Jim) Marshall, Arlington; and two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Jeanne) Rosenbaum, Burnsville, Minnesota, and Mrs. Roscoe (Beverly) Osterman, Fremont. One brother, Lee Marshall, Poway, California; three sisters, Mrs. A. W. (Bessie) Phillips, Henderson, Nebraska, Mrs. Milfred Grothusen, Arcadia, Florida, and Mrs. Roy (Cora) Masters, Fremont; and six grandchildren also survive him.

Memorials have been established for Arlington Community Church and Arlington Rescue Squad.
