Katherine Marshall, 100

Katherine Marshall, a longtime former resident of Blair died Friday, February 26, 1993 on her 100th birthday in Lakewood, California.

Katherine Marshall was born in Blair February 26, 1893 to Mr. and Mrs. Antone Thompson. At age 21, she married Ollie Marshall.

They made their home in Blair on Park Street where they lived and raised their four children. In 1941, the family moved to California.

They settled in what is now Lakewood and became successful poultry ranchers until their retirement. After her husband’s death in 1981, she continued to live in her home until her death.

She had never been hospitalized until the last two months of her life when the flu led to complications of pneumonia.

She is survived by her four children, George of Hemet, California; Les of Fullerton, California; Opal Haynes of Whittier, California and Irene of Los Alamitos, California; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
