Mrs. Leach Succumbs, 67

Former Sunnyside Area Resident Dies at Logan; Funeral Sunday

Mrs. Arthur H. Leach, 67, widow of a one-time farmer in the Sunnyside district between Kennard and Blair, died last Thursday at her home at Logan, Ia. She had been ill several years.

The funeral was held at the Logan Methodist Church Sunday, with burial in Kennard Cemetery.

Mrs. Leach, as Sarah Amanda Pritchard, was born at Blair, Nov. 4, 1888, and later moved to Kennard. She and Arthur Leach were married in Blair Dec. 26, 1906. To them were born four sons and five daughters, and two of the daughters preceded her in death. Mr. Leach died Mar. 11, 1943.

Surviving Mrs. Leach are four sons, Eugene G. Leach of Princeton, Nebr., Melvin of Lincoln, Orville of Bandon, Ore., and Arthur, Jr., of Red Oak, Ia.; and three daughters, Mrs. Arlene Points of Woodbine, Ia., Mrs. Opal Massara and Mrs. Dwan Dean Barta, both of Omaha. There are 14 grandchildren.
