Services for Hazel G. Patten, 88 of Blair who died September 29, 1991 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair were Wednesday, October 2 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel. Rev. Daniel Ritter officiated. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.

Hazel Gertrude Patten was born May 24, 1903 at Orangeville, Indiana to George and Edith Markhum Scarlett. She moved to Burt County Nebraska as a young child and attended school in Tekamah.

She was a resident of Blair since 1974, living at Parkview Manor.

She married Soren Petersen. He preceded her in death in 1944.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Peterson of Omaha and John and Linda Peterson of Brookings, Oregon; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Vera Peterson of Omaha; a son-in-law, Jerry Gerard of Norfolk, Virginia; a brother-in-law, Leonard Petersen of Blair; sisters-in-law, Mardell Scarlett of Blair, Myrtle Scarlett of Omaha, Laura Petersen of Herman, Bernice Petersen of Bonesteel, South Dakota and Vera Petersen of Norfolk, Virginia and many nieces and nephews.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
