Funeral Services for Kennard Farmer Held Friday

Walter Craig Wright, pioneer resident of Nebraska and a farmer in the vicinity of Kennard for a number of years, died in an Omaha hospital on Wednesday, October 13th, following a short illness. Mr. Wright, who was sixty-six years old at the time of death, had been a resident of Nebraska for fifty-six years and was well-known throughout the Kennard neighborhood.

Funeral services were held at 12:10 Friday from the Heafey & Heafey chapel in Omaha to the Methodist Church in Kennard. Burial was made in the Kennard Cemetery.

Mr. Wright is survived by three daughters, Sadi, Santa Monica, California; Mabel, Omaha; and Mrs. William Skow, Irvington, Nebr.; and by two sons, J. Horton of Omaha and Chauncy of Blair.

Among the out-of-town folks here Friday to attend the Craig Wright funeral were: Mrs. Nancy Spink and daughter of Council Bluffs, Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Bates, Mrs. Ida Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Wright and James Caldwell of Blair, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Stewart of the Wranch school district, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lazure, Mrs. Mary Barry, Scott Allen and many others from the south and east side of the county who had known Mr. Wright for many years.
