Services for Chris Jahnel will be Friday, April 27th. at the Bendorf Funeral Home in Blair. Mr. Jahnel died the morning of April 24th. as he was driving his pickup truck through a field. His son called the Arlington Rescue Squad and they responded and took him to the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont. He was reported dead on arrival from what appeared to be a heart attack.

Mr. Jahnel was 78 years old and is survived by his wife, Helene. Mr. Jahnel has been a farmer in the Blair-Kennard area.

The services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday with burial in the Blair Cemetery.

He is survived by three children. They are Kenneth, of Blair; Mrs. Martin Voss, of Blair; and Marie Suverkrubbe of Fort Calhoun. There are four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Surviving sisters are Lena Anderson, of Bruce, Minnesota; Rose Matthiesen, of Blair, and Elsie Dornacker, of Blair.
