A penciled notation changed her first name from Addie to Ettie. Source of the change is unknown.

DIED - - In this city, Oct. 10th, 1893, of Typhoid fever, Mrs. Addie C. Rathman, wife of Geo. D. Rathman Jr. in the 20th year of her age.

Mrs. Rathman was the adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Cooper and had been married about three years. With her husband she had taken up her residence in Oregon but had returned about the first of October and was immediately taken with the fever from which she died. Her remains will be interred in Blair city cemetery probably today, but we are not definitely informed as to the hour.
