HENRY RATHMANN DIED OCTOBER 28th

Henry Rathmann, a one-time Washington County resident, died Saturday, October 28th in an Omaha hospital. He was 80 years of age. He was born February 21, 1892, in Washington County near Ft. Calhoun where he grew to manhood.

As a young man he was engaged in farm work, assisting a number of farmers in the area as a hired man.

In 1936 he decided to move to Omaha where he engaged in the business of painting, a work which he followed until his retirement several years ago.

Survivors are a brother, John and a sister, Laura, both of Ft. Calhoun. There are also three nephews and two nieces.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Sievers Funeral Home in Ft. Calhoun. Burial was made in the Ft. Calhoun cemetery.

Pallbearers were Alvin Ohrt, Chris Iverson, James E. Larson, Art, Emil and John Lorsch.
