Former Blair resident Rose Pauk, 78, of Prescott, Ariz., died May 27, 2006, at Las Fuentes Care Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial services were held June 2 at the American Lutheran Church in Prescott.

Rose (Brondum) Pauk was born Nov. 8, 1927, in Irvington to Magnus and Christina Brondum. She attended school in Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 1945.

Rose and George, her husband of 56 years, have been residents of Prescott for 50 years. Together, they owned and operated Pauk TV for 36 years, and were active in the Mile High Square Dancing Club and the Yavapai Rolling Squares. They enjoyed many years of traveling around the country in their RV, missing only two states in their travels.

Mrs. Pauk was a lifelong Cornhusker fan, and also enjoyed the Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Diamondbacks. She also enjoyed her recent involvement in the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by her husband, George; children, Denise and Dave Slick of Mesa, Ariz., Debra and Tom Kack of Prescott, Ronald and Barb Pauk of Littleton, Colo,, and Pamela and Scott Abbe of Chandler, Ariz.; a brother and sister-in-law, Tage and Nancy Brondum of St, George, Utah; seven grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
