Evelyn Gregory, 85, of Blair, died Thursday, August 22, 2013, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community in Blair.

Services are pending with Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair in charge of arrangements. Interment will be in the Circle Mound Cemetery near Rising City.

Evelyn Gregory, 85, of Blair, died Thursday, August 22, 2013, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community in Blair.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 26, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel in Blair. Interment will be in the Circle Mound Cemetery near Rising City.

Evelyn Mae Darnall was born August 2, 1928, to Judson S. and Gertie L. (Cornell) Darnall in rural Rising City.

She attended rural Rising City and David City schools and graduated from Rising City High School in 1945. She then attended Midwest Beauty Academy in Lincoln.

On March 26, 1950, she married Earl L. Gregory of Rising City.

Besides being a housewife and mother, she worked as a receptionist in a doctor’s office and spent 29 years with Dale Electronics in Columbus.

She loved spending time working in her flower garden.

She is survived by her children, Michael of Rogers, Ark., and family, Patrick of Blair and family, and Kathy Sanley of Pittsburg, Kan., and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; and an only sister, Mildred Jackson of Columbus.
