Jeanne Thompson Tripp, 84, of Blair, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the First United Methodist Church in Blair. Visitation with family will be at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home 5-8 p.m. Friday, August 23, with a short prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Jeanne Thompson was born January 28, 1929, to Leslie and Ruth (Compton) Thompson. Her parents died when she was a young girl. She was raised by her grandparents, Frank and Elnora Thompson and John and Nora Compton, who lived on farms north of Blair. She attended grade school at rural Pleasant View School, graduated from Blair High School in 1946 and attended Dana College in Blair.

She married William Kirby Tripp on June 16, 1949, at First Methodist Church in Blair.

She is survived by her husband, William, and their four children: Timothy Earle Tripp of Florida, Patrick Leigh and (Kathy) Tripp of Omaha, Peggy Lynn and (Donald) Leehy of Blair and Leslie William and (Marilyn) Tripp of Tennessee; grandchildren: Alissa Tripp and Jenna Tripp; Kara & (Jay) Wolff, Barrett Leehy, and Wyatt and (Terrin) Leehy, Ashley Tripp and Laura Tripp; three great-grandchildren: Chloe Wolff, Riley Wolff, and Connor Leehy; a sister, Peggy and (Dr. Jack) Kaufmann of David City; aunt Betty Compton Sieckmeyer of Blair and many nieces and nephews.

A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 1656 Colfax Street, Blair, Nebraska on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at 10am.
