LYLE RAY

Services for Lyle C. Ray, 61, who died Sunday, December 15, 1985, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, will be Wednesday, December 18, 10:30 a.m., at the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Carl Schattauer and Rev. Kurt Sortland will officiate and burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Ray was born May 11, 1924, the son of Glyn and Katura Ray of Herman.

He married Lela Nelson on December 9, 1945, in Blair.

He lived in the Blair area for most of his life. Ray retired from Kiewit Construction due to illness in November, 1984, after working there for 15 years.

He was a member of the United Carpenters Union No. 400.

Survivors include his wife of Blair; four sons, L. Dean, Gordon, Terry and Steven, all of Blair; three daughters, Mrs. Kevin (Jolene) Jacobs of Omaha, Mrs. Brad (Cheryl) Stipp of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Mrs. Dan (Patty) Flynn of Blair; four brothers, Arthur of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Dale of Fremont, Lee of Omaha, and Robert of Blair; one sister, Mrs. Nina Determan of Bettendorf, Iowa; 16 grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Vickie.

Organist will be Katy Flynn and vocalist will be Keith Hightree.

Campbell Funeral Home of Blair is in charge of arrangements.
