EDWARD I. REDDING, 72

Services for Edward I. Redding, 72 of Cedar Creek, Nebraska who died September 1, 1993 at Bishop Clarkson Hospital in Omaha were Saturday, September 4 at Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home chapel in Louisville, Nebraska. Rev. Gene Beye officiated. Burial was in the Glendale Cemetery at Louisville.

Military rites by Henry A. Newman Post No. 353, American Legion.

Edward I. Redding was born October 7, 1920 at Lyons, Nebraska to Elwood and Helen Mattie Thomas Redding. He lived most of his life in the Cedar Creek area.

He served with the U.S. Army, Cadit during World War II.

He worked for Vickers in Omaha until his retirement.

He was a member of Henry A. Newman Post No. 353, American Legion, Louisville. He was also a member of the Stewards Union No. 171 in Omaha.

He married his wife, Cora December 24, 1958.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lola Rhea; a brother, Kenny Redding and two grandchildren, Terry Harris and Shannon Labs.

He is survived by his wife, Cora of Cedar Creek; children, Kenny Redding, Illinois; Karen Redding, Omaha; Vicki Redding, Omaha; Jim and Allison Redding, Lincoln; Blaine and Teresa Redding, Plattsmouth; step-children, Barbara and Roger Montgomery, Plattsmouth, Nebraska and Sue Harris, Omaha; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Glenn Weeces, Omaha; and two sisters and many cousins and nieces.

Pallbearers were his grandsons, Scott Hembertt, Chad Blu, J.R. Montgomery, Kurt Patrick Keffe, Randy Harris and Jeff Harris.
