FUNERAL FRIDAY FOR FINLEY REDLER

Funeral services will be held this Friday for Finley J. Redler. Services will be at 10:30 A.M. at St. Francis Borgia Catholic church in Blair, with Father Dan Galas as celebrant. Burial will be in the Little Sioux, IA cemetery at 2 P.M.

Finley Redler was born December 10, 1915 at Albion, NE to Andrew and Myrtle Bailey Redler. He attended rural school in Albion.

He farmed on the family farm before his marriage to Claire Chlopek on October 6, 1942 at St. Edward, NE.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He played baseball in Cedar Rapids for many years.

In 1964, they moved to Herman where he worked until his retirement in 1979 due to ill health. Finley died at Methodist Hospital in Omaha on June 22, 1988 after a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his wife, Claire; son Ronald of Pottstown, PA; son and daughter-in-law Gary and Elizabeth Redler of Little Creek, VA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. Elaine (Jerry) Jackson of Lake Havasu, AZ, and Mrs. Janice (Richard) Warren, of Omaha.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren. Four brothers, Frank of Grand Island, Leo and Mike of Albion, John of West Linn, OR also survive as do three sisters. They are Romona Redler, Albion, Marian Redler, of Omaha, and Leona Armatys of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Eddie.
