Funeral Rites Held For Anton Paulsen

Former Blair Resident Dies at Ft. Dodge, Iowa.

Anton Paulsen, a former Blair resident, passed away at his home in Ft. Dodge, Iowa, last Sunday evening. The body was brought to Blair for burial and after a funeral service at the Danish Lutheran church yesterday afternoon with Rev. James Lund, officiating, interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

The deceased was born March 11, 1871, in Denmark, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christoffer Paulsen. His parents moved to Blair in 1883 and he was reared in this community, taking a position in the collar factory upon reaching maturity. He was married in Blair and a few years later moved to Boone, Iowa, where he lived many years before moving to Ft. Dodge. At the time of his death he was engaged in the grocery business in Ft. Dodge.

Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Jennie Paulsen; three sons by a former marriage, Silas, Raymond and Orval Paulsen; three brothers, Martin, Chris and Paul Paulsen, all of Blair; and four sisters, Mrs. K.P. Hundahl and Mrs. M.P. Hansen of Blair, Mrs. H.P. Nielsen of Minnesota and Mrs. John Hatting of Minneapolis.

The body of Anton Paulson of Fort Dodge, Iowa was brought to Blair, and funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the First Lutheran Church, with burial in the Blair cemetery.

The deceased was born in Denmark March 11, 1871, and moved to blair with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christoffer Paulson in Sept., 1883. He grew to manhood in Blair, was married here, and was employed in the Blair collar factory. Later he moved to Boone, Iowa and worked in the railroad shops there for a number of years. His next move was to Ft. Dodge, Iowa where he spent the remainder of his life.

He is survived by his wife and three sons of Ft. Dodge, Iowa. He leaves also three brothers: Martin, Paul J. and Chris all of Blair, and four sisters: Mrs. K. P. Hundahl and Mrs. M. P. Hansen of Blair, Mrs. H. P. Nelson of Windon, Minn., and Mrs. John Hatting of Minneapolis, Minn. All relatives, with the exception of Mrs. Hatting, were present at the funeral services.
