Bernard Paulsen Died Suddenly Early Saturday

Well known farmer succumbed to heart attack at his home.

Bernard Paulsen, well known farmer living just west of Blair, died shortly after 7:00 Saturday morning, the victim of a heart attack. He had been in failing health for a number of months.

The Blair Rescue Squad was called to his farm home and he was rushed to the Blair Hospital but death had come before help could be given.

The deceased was born at Blair June 16, 1917 and was 54 years of age. He had farmed all of his life.

He was married to Norma Nelson, daughter of the late J. T. Nelson and Mrs. Nelson and for a time he worked with his father-in-law in the raising of purebred hogs. In recent years he has spent most of his effort on farming.

He is survived by his wife, Norma, and by four children. There are three sons, Darryl, Dale and Dean. A daughter, DeAnne is also at home. There are three grand-children.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Nelson of Blair and Mrs. Richard Sorensen (LaVern) also of Blair.

Funeral arrangements had no been completed as the Pilot Tribune went to press at noon Saturday.

Services For Bernard Paulsen Tuesday, Nov. 7

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 7th for Bernard Paulsen, well known farmer of the Blair area, who died suddenly at his home December 4th. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

Services were held at the First Lutheran Church in Blair with the Rev. Robert Albers officiating. Burial was made in the Blair cemetery.

The deceased was born at Blair June 16, 1917 and was 54 years of age. He had farmed all of his life.
