CHRIS PAULSEN DIED MAY 8TH

Christopher Paulsen, aged 78 years, died at his home on West Grant street on May 8th, 1951. He had been in failing health for some time and several weeks ago was confined to his bed.

He was born in Denmark and came to the county when about ten years of age. His early life he spent farming and he made a success of it. Later he gave up farming and moved to Blair where he took up real estate and he proved himself successful in that line too.

He was married to Miss Minnie Jensen and to them ten children were born of whom six are living as follows: Alfred Paulsen of Cozad, Nebraska; Mrs. Della Larsen, of Blair; Dave and Harry Paulsen, of Blair; Mrs. Harvey Melton of Colorado and Mrs. Mildred Grothe of Blair.

Besides these children he leaves ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

His wife preceded him in death several years ago. Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon from the First Lutheran Church of which he was a member with Rev. H.C. Jorgensen officiating and interment under the supervision of the Campbell Mortuary will be made in the Blair Cemetery.

Thus another early settler has passed on. Sixty-eight years a citizen of Blair. Quiet and unassuming he made his life a success and leaves a host of friends who with his relatives will miss him.
