Dave Paulsen, 77, Died At Blair Hospital Thursday

Dave Paulsen, life-time resident of Blair and Washington County, died Thursday at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. He had been in failing health for a number of months.

For many years he has operated a steakhouse on the bank of the Missouri River north of Blair, his place being known as the River View Boat Club.

David Andrew Paulsen was born at Blair February 28, 1898, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chris Paulsen. He grew up on a farm and for a time, as a young man, was engaged in farming.

He was married to Marybelle Avery, who survives him. There are no children.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers and three sisters. The brothers are Harry Paulsen, of Ft. Calhoun and Alfred Paulsen, of Cozad, Nebraska.

The sisters: Mrs. Della Larsen of Blair; Mrs. Vivian Melton of Aztex, New Mexico; and Mrs. Mildred Grothe, of Cozad, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary Saturday morning. The Rev. Robert Albers of the First Lutheran Church conducted the service and burial was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Earl Paulsen, Gary Paulsen, Russell Larsen, Albert Ohrt, William Sherwood and Jap Danielson.
