Blairites’ Infant Dies In Panama

Word was received late Sunday evening of the death of Diana Reeh, 16-month-old daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Merle Reeh now living in Panama. Cause of death or details regarding the death are not know to Blair relatives of the young couple, a wire merely stating that the death had occurred.

Captain Reeh is head of a 1,000-bed hospital at Fort Randolph, Panama and has been stationed there for two years. Mrs. Reeh the former Miss Orpha Caldwell, of this city, is well known here also.

A letter written on September 15 and received early Wednesday stated that the family was well and that plans were being made to return to the United States early in November or sooner if arrangements could be made. Relatives here believe that the death must have been due to an accident since no hint of illness was made in the letter written on the previous Monday.

Diana Elizabeth was born May 31, 1940 at Colon, Panama. The surviving grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Will Reeh, and Mr. and Mrs. William Caldwell, all of Blair.

The Reehs having another daughter, Mary Catherine, who is seven years of age.
