TERESA FOLEY REEH, 87

Teresa Foley Reeh, 87, of Blair, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999, at The Ambassador in Omaha.

Services were Monday, Dec. 6, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Burial was in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair.

Teresa A. Reeh was born Oct. 26, 1912, to Jeremiah and Marie Louise (Lazure) Foley in Washington County. She graduated from Blair High School and continued her education at Wayne State College. She received her bachelor of arts degree in education from Dana College. She then attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and received a master’s degree in education. She then taught school for three years at Rispin School, followed by 20 years of teaching in the Blair School system.

She married Bennard Reeh, who preceded her in death in 1982.

She was the first woman pilot in Washington County, and was a member of the Amelia Earhart Club, American Association of University Women and the St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality.

She is survived by three daughters, Dr. Susan Menking of Santa Fe, N.M.; Janelle R. Harris of Monroe, Mich.; and Jacqueline Rafferty of Memphis, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beatrice Howard of Blair; and Rosalie Hogan of Sylvania, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Vina Campbell and Rita O’Hanlon; and by one brother, Francis J. Foley.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
