LUCRETIA REEVES, 95, DIED SUNDAY

Lucretia Ann Reeves, 95-year-old Blair resident, died Sunday, January 30, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.S. Simpson, in Blair.

Mrs. Reeves was the widow of the late U.S. Reeves, one-time prominent farmer here, who was once a candidate for the Nebraska State Legislature. He preceded her in death in 1951, two days after they had observed their 61st wedding anniversary.

She was born at Sidney, Iowa, May 9th, 1870.

Mrs. Reeves was the mother of five children, three of whom survive. They are Ruby, Mrs. Clarence Simpson of Blair; a son, Opal Reeves of the DeSoto vicinity; and a son Omer Reeves of North Platte. One child died in infancy and a son, Anson, died at the age of 24. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Lucy Racobs, of Sidney, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary Tuesday afternoon, February 1st, with the Rev. Dale Westadt conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery. Pallbearers were all grandsons. They were Kenneth Reeves, Max Reeves, Daryl Miller, Philip Rolland, Edward Nykiel and Warren George.

Mrs. Reeves was a member of the United Brethren Church.
