MRS. ERICH REICHARDT DEAD

Another Washington county pioneer in the person of Mrs. Erich Reichardt has been called to her reward, departing this life at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 7 days, at her home in west Blair, directly north of the west school.

Catherine Petersen was born in Flensburg, Sleswig-Holstein, Germany, May 20, 1844. She was married in 1875 to Erich Reichardt and came to America in 1883, settling in Washington County, Neb.

In 1887 they moved to Dixon, Neb., where they resided until eleven years ago, when they moved to Blair where they have since lived.

Two children were born to this union, one dying in infancy, the other, John Reichardt, who lives in South Dakota. Of the immediate family, besides the son, she leaves a husband, Erich Reichardt, who is very ill at the present time and one step-son, Erich Reichardt, Jr. living at Newcastle, Neb. Other relatives are one sister, Mrs. Annie Andreasen of Scottsbluff county and two brothers, John Peterson who lives at the Reichardt home and Hans Peterson who lives next door to them.

On account of the serious illness of the husband, the funeral was held at the home, Saturday afternoon at 1:30, Rev. Lambrecht of the German church having charge of the services.

Interment in the Blair Cemetery. (Note that some words vary in spellings: Erich/Erick; Schleswig/Sleswig; Petersen/Peterson) and probably some others.)
